Spring’s Kiss

 Island View_edited-1

From earth springs living waters; fountains of life
surging forth promises of tomorrow’s hope.

Gathered blessings in bountiful bouquets,
Resting in arms of newly budded branches,
Dancing in prisms of fine mist,
Lingering long in righteousness,

sweetest souls bloom, as
cherry blossom’s eternal spring.

“Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth. And righteousness shall look down from heaven.” Psalm 85:10-11

Over at dVerse we’re writing quadrilles making sure to include the word ‘spring’. I’m in the middle of a snow storm in Wisconsin, so I’ve taken a twist on the word. One more week and Spring is here!

  1. surging forth promises of tomorrow’s hope. -this is exactly what spring means to me – a season of hope, i love the way you used the season to mean much more than a time in a year but a time in our journey through life.

  2. I can hear those waters flowing and love the ‘b’ sounds of ‘blessings in bountiful bouquets’ and ‘budded branches’, which could be the sounds of buds bursting open or the gentle kisses of rain or water spray.

  3. Let us pray truth will rise out of the earth, and righteousness rain own upon us, we could certainly use some of both in this troubled political time. Your words are so inspirational and hopeful. Thank you!
