I write in the seasons of life
which sooth the heart and soul of man;
fancy the world in splendid shades
of joy, peace, hope and love beyond.
I wore fake rose-colored glasses,
once upon a time… long ago
when wheels replaced life’s hefty weight;
then me, myself, and I a crowd.
Now, my house can’t be full enough
with life, little ones, and laughter;
as seasons pass in rainbow shades
of joy, peace, hope, and love from God.
Storms came in vivid black and white
forms of death, depression, and drought;
touched life’s rosette then slow wither,
wane, and wilted woefully through.
Winter is peace wrapped in pure shades,
spring’s growth is hopeful for new life,
summer’s sizzles with joyous fun,
fall harvest- fruits of labored love.
I once wore rose-colored glasses;
now know a sunset needs nothing
and clear vision is a blessing
when the mirror is clearly broken.
I write in the seasons of life
and will continue this journey
knowing joy, peace, hope and love shades
start in the heart and soul of man.

The references to a deepening appreciation of what I think really matters — relationships, joy, love, acceptance, faith, hope, peace — make this an inspirational and encouraging read.
You’ve woven a tapestry of life beautifully here. Great piece. Bravo!

There are so many beautiful lines in here. I esp liked the second last stanza.
Lovely… I especially like the 3rd and 4th stanzas.
Love the transitions thru out – moving from season to season – really liked this K
