Ok, ok, ok… I certainly will
make things very clear;
there REALLY is an Easter Bunny.
I saw him, “I DID!” it was sunny.
“Don’t sit there and jeer!”
He was hiding painted eggs behind the hill.
“Don’t LAUGH!” I have very few words.
I mess with Mommy sometimes;
acting like my world revolves around her.
My crying starts a stir;
out my crib I climb…
bars make me feel like a jail-bird.
So just cuz’ I’m a tot
it don’t mean I’m stupid;
REALLY I can roll over now!
So, what about an applause or WOW!
Pretty soon I’ll be a big kid;
then I’ll be able to tie a knot.
Well, I‘m gonna have a sit-down,
gather some fans, wear these BLUE ears…
and say HE IS REAL, the Easter Bunny.
You can stop laughing it’s not funny.
Go ahead and just ask my peers.
One other thing… my Daddy is a clown !
Linking up with dverse’s prompt from yesterday: Poetics: Reaching the Masses

This made me laugh. I love how you used a kid’s perspective on the REAL news… like how daddy is a clown. Inventive and unique… and I’ve read a bunch! Amy

Easter Bunny was cool but that cheap witch the Tooth Fairy never left me more that forty cents.
I love this one, so sweet! And determined.
This is so cute – and that picture is gorgeous. He’ll hate you for sharing it with the whole world though
ha…one good benefit of mass media is getting to watch the kids grow up across the distance…this was a fun one…made me smile….
